Fun with the Sop solver

HOW TO

Made this one day while messing around with the volumesample within VOPs. Does not currently support animation of the object, but hopefully I can sort that out.

The gist of the setup:
In a sop solver I use a pointVOP to displace the geometry along the normal with a minus value each timestep. The displacement is defined by the volume. In this case I'm using the density of the smoke simulation. This way the geometry gets displaced more where the smoke is thicker.
